Department of Commerce

The department was established in 1971. The department has B.Com & M.Com course and the study center for M.B.A. of YashwantraoChavan Maharashtra Open University to counsel the students from various managerial skills.

The department has a Commerce Association, which is actively engaged in various activities with the help of students and faculty members. The commerce association is regularly arranging lectures related with trade, commerce, industry, management, taxation & global scenario. Eminent personalities, consultant’s resource persons were called for delivering the lecturers on related topics.

The faculty members are guiding the students to visit industrial units and industrial offices for the preparation of practical journals. Computer facility is also available in the department.

Certificate course in: The certificate course in Event Management is funded by UGC(Received seed money of Rs.7 Lacs ). It was started in the year 2012-13. The intake capacity of the course is 30 students.

The course structure comprises 3 theory papers and 1 practical paper (preparation of project report). Two batches successfully completed the course. 41 students successfully completed the course.

Objectives of the course - To give formal education and training to the students to be the future managers of event industry by the time they get their graduation. It helps to develop the personality, learn to organize, communicate for the society and college. Creates self employment ability. (Started in 2012-2013)

Departmental Library

The department has separate library for UG and PG students having 120 reference books in commerce, management, accountancy, costing, taxation. It also includes magazines relating to commerce & management. The library has separate project report section, which consists 300 projects relating to Finance, HRM, Marketing, Business Administration, Organizational Management etc. The students are availing library facility as per their requirement.

Business Correspondence Training : The Department has organized a training program on Business Correspondent & Business Facilitator collaboration with Friends Infotech, Nashik. 21 students were participated in the program. It was 1 month course. Followed by a written examination. The participants were awarded certificate of completion on behalf of the government of India. Our college extended all necessary infrastructural facility for the conduction of program.
