National Cadet Corps (Army Wing)

National Cadet Corps (NCC) was introduced to the students of LVHM in the year 1985.The strength of the LVHM NCC Army wing is 50 for Three different NCC training years. The number of new recruits for the First NCC training year depends upon the strength of the Second and Third year cadets.

Apart from the regular NCC parades on every Sunday, we have often conducted other activities for the NCC cadets like Tree plantation, Blood donation, Ekta rally and active participation in Kumbhmela and Ganesh Utsav security etc.

The Last year NCC cadets are eligible for the 'C' certificate exams on passing 'B' certificate exams and attending minimum Two training camps organized by the NCC Directorate of India and minimum 75 % NCC parade attendance.

The Second year NCC cadets are eligible for 'B' certificate exams with necessity of attending minimum One training camps organized by the NCC Directorate of India and minimum 75 % NCC parade attendance.

Various training camps are organized throughout the year like Republic Camp (RDC), National Integration Camp (NIC), Army Attachment Camp, Trekking Camp, Mountaineering Camp and Combine Annual Training Camp etc.

We impart training to the cadets on defense activities like Map reading, Firing, Regular Drill Practice, Weapon Training, Judging Distance etc.

The cadets are issued NCC uniform by our unit and collected back from the First year cadets.

26th January (Republic Day) parade every year is marked as the "Passing Out Parade" for the last year NCC cadets of LVHM NCC.


Activities Of Lvhm Ncc

LVHM NCC often organizes or participates in various social activities viz.

Blood Donation Camps

About 25 – 30 cadets of LVHM NCC donate the blood every year in Blood Donation camps organized by Unit or by Battalion.

Ashwamedh – 2007

18 Cadets of LVHM NCC participated in the Cultural programme depicting the "Freedom Struggle of India from 1857 to 1947" on the Inauguration of "Ashwamedh Sports 2007" organized by YCMOU, Nasik in presence of Mrs. Pratibha Patil, Honourable President of India.

General Election Duty

10 Cadets of LVHM NCC enthusiastically participated in 2009's Lok Sabha and Legislative Assembly election duty.

Assistance to Police

Cadets from LVHM NCC worked shoulder to shoulder with the Police department during Lord Ganesh Immersion ceremony.

Aids Awareness Programme

About 25 cadets from LVHM NCC participated in HIV / AIDS awareness rally held on 1st December, 2009, World AIDS day.

Tree Plantation

Cadets of LVHM NCC so far have planted about 100 saplings.

Disaster Relief Camp

"Avhaan " Disaster Relief Training camp 2009 was organized at Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad. 2 cadets of LVHM NCC participated in the training camp
